Zuken, a first time exhibitor, plans to demonstrate its E³.WireWorks solution that integrates electrical design with SolidWorks 3D CAD software.  This will be the first public preview of Zuken's integration.

The new E³.WireWorks release was developed in cooperation with SolidWorks R&D resources in order to allow electrical and mechanical engineers to better access the Zuken solution from the SolidWorks software environment.  E³.WireWorks is additionally integrated with SolidWorks' Enterprise PDM system providing features such as lifecycle support, library and connectivity data exchange as well as integrated 3D-cabinet layout and hierarchical design support.

E³.WireWorks is a registered DS SolidWorks 'Solution Partner' product.  "The Solution Partner Program was developed to help customers easily identify products that have been released and tested to be compatible with the current shipping version of SolidWorks software" said Nick Iwaskow, Manager, Alliances at DS SolidWorks.  "We are encouraged by Zuken's integration with SolidWorks software and their commitment to market their E³.WireWorks product as part of our program."

During the conference, Zuken and SolidWorks will jointly present Zuken's E³.WireWorks solution at a conference break out session;

Title: Electrical Mechanical workflow with SolidWorks and E³.WireWorks

Presenters: Patrick Hackney, Application Specialist E³.wireworks, Zuken Paul Boswell, Product Manager, SolidWorks

The session will include a demonstration of the integration between SolidWorks software and E³.WireWorks that will cover -

  • A complete workflow overview and look at optimization tools available in E³.WireWorks
  • The new features in SolidWorks routing including cross-highlighting between both products
  • Connectivity with SolidWorks Enterprise PDM
