Remote support software increases market shareUhingen, 20.12.2007 – The remote desktop software TeamViewer, of the homonymous German company, increases its market share. The tool, which allows remote connections from and to any PC world-wide, exceeds 3 million users. "A few days ago, we have welcomed our 3rd millionth user", mentions Dr. Tilo Rossmanith, managing director of the TeamViewer GmbH. „The vast world-wide user acceptance strengthens our believe in developing a simple-to-use, fast and functional remote desktop solution. TeamViewer has no redundant auxiliary features but is capable of everything you would expect from a remote support solution.“ The software is utilized to gain access to customer Pcs in order to maintain or give support to clients and servers. It facilitates simple access to any PC connected to the Internet (even behind firewalls), in order to change settings or install applications for instance. TeamViewer 3, which was released in October 2007, offers special functionality to work with Windows Vista. For the first time, TeamViewer allows control of Windows Vista UAC (Vista Secure Desktop Applications). For commercial use, TeamViewer provides solutions from 149.- to 998.- EUR. Private users may download the free version of TeamViewer and start giving support right away.
