LAS VEGAS, Nov. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Oce, a global leader in digital document management and delivery systems, today announced the winners of their, "Oce Best Design Competition for Autodesk University" at Oce's booth, #424, during Autodesk University 2007 Nov. 27-30 in Las Vegas, NV.  Winners were selected from a pool of qualified entrants who submitted designs via Oce's website in the categories of AEC (architecture/engineering/construction), Manufacturing, Geospatial and Plant from Oct. 8 - Nov. 9.  The winners represent the most visually impressive designs in each category -- all of which were output on an Oce TCS500, the world's fastest large format color inkjet print/copy/scan system for CAD and GIS applications.

"The selection process for this contest was not easy.  We were truly impressed by the outstanding quality and striking details of all of the entries," said Sal Sheikh, Vice President, Marketing, Oce Wide Format Printing Systems division of Oce North America.  "The winning designs showcase the talent of the entrants and the exceptional print quality delivered by the Oce TCS500."

Oce, a Sliver Sponsor at Autodesk University 2007 and long time member of the Autodesk Developer Network, congratulates the competition winners -- listed below by category:

AEC: Jeff Hanson using Autodesk(R) Revit(R) 9 software to design a private residence in Denver, CO

Manufacturing: James Teske using Autodesk Inventor(R) Pro 2008 software to design an off-road seismic vehicle

Geospatial: Yvonne Stillman using AutoCAD(R) LDT 2006 software for a slope analysis in Lebec, CA

Plant: David Gaskill using Autodesk Inventor 2008 software to design a waste water treatment plant in Hawaii

A panel of representatives from Oce and Autodesk Users Group International (AUGI) judged the designs online based on the following criteria: Quality, Creativity, Composition, Technique and Relevance to Category.  In recognition of their remarkable designs, Oce provided each winning entrant with $300 gift card from a national electronics retailer.  Autodesk University attendees can view the winning designs at the Oce booth, #424, during the show; Oce will also post the winners at http://www.oceusa.com/AU2007contest.

About the Oce TCS500
