STHENO/PRO®, the powerful drafting plug-in for Pro/ENGINEER®, developed in partnership with PTC®, met with much enthusiasm.  "Many attendees made planned visits to our booth for detailed discussions, after having seen one of our regular product demonstration Webcasts," said Mark Simpson.  “And, as usual, we were delighted to meet with existing customers and our reseller partners.”

STHENO/PRO addresses the drafting, detailing and legacy data integration requirements of Pro/ENGINEER® users, who are currently struggling with non- integrated 2D systems.  It slots in perfectly with their 3D strategy, allowing them to integrate, edit and consolidate their 2D drawings and legacy data within their Pro/ENGINEER environment.  Visitors were keen to take advantage of big discounts for existing 2D users ready to make the switch.

CAD Schroer also introduced the company’s latest product, FACTORY LAYOUT, at PTC events in the UK and Denmark.  “We generated a lot of new interest in that area,” explains Bill Wilkins, the UK’s Sales Manager.  “FACTORY LAYOUT offers the ideal solution for rapid installation design among Pro/ENGINEER users who deliver or maintain complete factories.  It’s a 2D to 3D approach which combines drafting power tools for easy room layouts with the advanced 3D capabilities of a plant design system.  It makes use of existing Pro/ENGINEER models, as well as allowing engineers to create 3D geometry, walls and windows quickly on the fly.  And FACTORY LAYOUT integrates easily with the PTC® Pro/ENGINEER and PDM environment.”
